Kids iPad Krayon Kiosk a Big Hit

Winfield Library is proud to announce that our new ‘Education Station’ has arrived in Youth Services!

Introducing the iPad Krayon Kiosk, designed especially for young children in preschool through early elementary grades. The yellow Krayon Kiosk holds four iPads that are preloaded with a wide variety of educational apps covering all areas of the curriculum such as math, science, reading, writing, and problem solving.

Using this type of fun and interactive educational technology helps children develop a love and excitement of learning and promotes early literacy. The iPads also provide access to several of the library’s online resources such as Muzzy, Searchasaurus, and Tumblebooks. Since we installed the Krayon Kiosk, we have seen a flurry of activity as it has captured the curiosity of young children. With its huge array of fun games, activities and educational apps, children have been drawn to the Kiosk and they certainly love every minute.
