Review of The Tree I see kid’s storybook app by Speech Time Fun
We are glad that Speech Time Fun, gave a good recognition to The Tree I see kid’s storybook app. A review coming from a blogger who is a Speech Pathologist means a lot to us, since our interactive storybook app intends to serve the cause of speech disorders such as Autism. In the same regard, a part of the proceeds of the storybook sales are donated to Autism Speaks.
We would like to quote the review from Speech Time Fun as below:
This interactive book is adorable and teaches students great messages. The developers of this app were generous to provide me with a copy. This app was designed for students aged 3-8 to work on improving recall skills and working memory. It teaches students about friendship and sharing through literacy.
The story has adorable graphics and is told in a rhyme. This is great for beginning readers to hear the rhyming to listen to same sound endings. You can reward students for recalling details after each page by allowing them to press the various animals. Students can also learn when they require repetition and can press to listen again.
Some goals you can address with this app:
- Animal vocabulary
- Emotions vocabulary
- Cause/effect
- Improving pragmatic skills by eliciting conversation about friendship/sharing
- Recalling details
- Predicting outcomes
- Turn taking
